jeromes niece was founded by way of two friends getting together over Sutra in apartment evenings and sharing their passion for Buddhist poetics and literary device. I’d buy the whole world and change things around
I’d throw all the guns and the tanks in the sea”

Our main purpose is to build and develop a community of SDSU students, faculty, alumni and the public who are interested in the meditation practices and varied philosophies of the world's rich religious traditions. Although we do not take a dogmatic or sectarian approach, the group often focuses on Buddhist and other Eastern philosophies. We welcome those who are open minded to all cultural backgrounds and who want to learn and practice meditation to increase mindfulness and peace in daily life.
IMMORTALITY
We must pass like smoke or live within the spirit's fire;
For we can no more than smoke unto the flame return
If our thought has changed to dream, our will unto desire,
As smoke we vanish though the fire may burn.
Lights of infinite pity star the grey dusk of our days:
Surely here is soul: with it we have eternal breath:
In the fire of love we live, or pass by many ways,
By unnumbered ways of dream to death.
The Campaign for Love & Forgiveness is a secular, non-partisan initiative that explores how love and
forgiveness can effect positive change in individuals and communities. A project of the nonprofit Fetzer
Institute (www.fetzer.org), this multi-year campaign has encouraged community conversations
throughout America about the role, meaning and power of love and forgiveness in our lives and the
world. PBS documentaries funded in part by the Fetzer Institute serve as springboards for these
community conversations. The first documentary, The Mystery of Love was broadcast in December 2006.
The Power of Forgiveness will air on public television stations in 2008 and Unforgivable? in 2009.
Our mission, to foster awareness of the power of love and forgiveness in the emerging global community, rests on our conviction that efforts to address the world's critical issues
must go beyond political, social, and economic strategies to
their psychological and spiritual roots.

The MahaSiddhas were great masters who thoroughly integrated their spirituality into every aspect of ones life, because their spirituality orbits around the awake state of being. The teachings are also unique in that they are practiced in the context of one's entire life as well as in formal sitting meditation.
