The Dharma Bum Temple had the honor of sponsoring a table at the 18th Annual Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast on Friday May 22, 2026. It was truly a beautiful and inspiring experience for everyone who attended. This community gathers each year in the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. celebrations to celebrate our community and the amazing people who use their voices to light a path of safety, wellness, togetherness, and joy. We are all brighter when we come together to shine, and we appreciate you joining us to honor the legacy of Harvey Milk.
The morning brought together an incredible collection of community leaders, advocates, organizations, and supporters who are all committed to creating a more compassionate, inclusive, and connected world. It was wonderful to sit alongside so many amazing members of our community, share conversations, reconnect with friends, and celebrate the spirit of unity and service that the event represents.
The Dharma Bum Temple would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast Planning Committee and all of the volunteers who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the event such a beautiful and welcoming day. Events like this do not happen without tremendous dedication, care, and community effort, and it was clear throughout the morning how much heart was poured into every detail.
We were honored that our founder and CEO, Jeffrey Zlotnik, was invited to offer the opening blessing for the breakfast. Beginning the event with a moment of reflection, gratitude, and compassion was deeply meaningful, and we are grateful to have been part of such a special gathering.
