"The Homeless Hats Project: Knit and Sit" will be meeting at 3pm every Sunday via Zoom with the second Sunday of the month being held at 1pm in-person at the Dharma Bum Temple and also via zoom.
We will make beanies to pass out to the people living on the streets of downtown San Diego. Each meeting we will have a brief meditation, make beanies and strategize. Not to worry, we will teach you how to make the beanies, it is simple and fun!
We’re looking for volunteers to make hats (no knitting skills needed) and donations of supplies. We are also accepting donations of leftover yarn from DBT knitters, chunky size is preferred. It’s a great way to practice giving (Dana) and get excess yarn cleared out!
